CROWN
- Starting at center, ch 2.
- 1st rnd: 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
- 2nd rnd: 2 sc in each sc around.
- 3rd rnd: Sc in each sc, increasing 8 sc evenly around—to inc 1 sc, make 2 sc in 1 sc.
- Repeat 3rd rnd until crown measures 1-1/8 inches in diameter. Join with sI st.
BEADING
- Ch 5, * skip 1 sc, tr in next sc, ch 1. Repeat from * around.
- Join to 4th ch of ch-5.
BRIM
- 1st rnd: 2 sc in each ch-1 sp around. Join.
- 2nd rnd: Ch 3, dc in same place as sI st, * dc in next 2 sc, 2 dc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join.
- 3rd to 9th rnds incl: Ch 3, dc in same place as sI st, dc in each dc increasing 14 dc evenly around —to inc 1 dc, make 2 dc in 1 dc. Join.
- Next rnd: Ch 1, sc in each dc around. Join and break off.
Stuff crown with cotton and sachet. Cut lining material slightly larger than brim of hat. Turn under small hem and sew lining to brim. Lace ribbon through Beading and tie into a bow. Sew flowers in place.
