Then, there’s Burberry’s gold lamé coat, Chloe’s gold leather iPod holder, and gold handbags galore from Yves Saint Laurent, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs and Vivienne Westwood. Sienna Miller has been spotted in dazzling gold dresses by Hussein Chalayan and Burberry for red carpet events and after wearing her much-talked-about gold python boots in London, and New York designer Devi Kroell can’t produce enough of the almost $2,000-a-pair dazzlers. Similarily au courant shoe designer Christian Louboutin sold out of his gold snakeskin shoes as soon as they hit store shelves this fall.
