Materials
Required: J. & P. COATS "KNIT-CRO-SHEEN" METALLIC, Art. A.64: 1
ball of No. M.76 Robinette. Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 6. 1/2 yard
pink satin ribbon, 1/2 inch wide piece of pink satin.
Chain (ch), single crochet (sc), double crochet (d c), stitch (st)
- Starting at top, ch 15. Join with sl st to form ring.
- 1st rnd: 40 sc closely in ring. Join to first sc.
Now work in rows as follows:
- 1st row- Ch 4, tr in front loop of next 19 sc. Ch 9, turn.
- 2nd
row: In 6th ch from hook make 2 dc, ch 2 and 2 dc (shell made), ch 3,
(tr in next tr, ch 1) 19 times; tr in top of starting chain. Ch 9,
turn.
- 3rd
row: Shell in 6th ch from hook, ch 4, sc in next ch-1 sp, (ch 3, sc in
next sp) 18 times; ch 4, shell in sp of next shell (shell made over
shell). Ch 5, turn.
- 4th
row: Shell over shell, ch 4, sc in next ch-3 loop, (ch 3, sc in next
loop) 17 times; ch 4, shell over shell. Ch 5, turn; work as for 4th
row, having 1 ch-3 loop less on each row until 1 ch-3 loop remains. Ch
5, turn.
- Next
row: Shell over shell, ch 4, sc in next ch-3 loop, ch 4, shell over
shell. Ch 5, turn. Following row: (Shell over shell) twice. Break off
(one pineapple completed). Attach thread to free loop of first sc on
ring and complete another pineapple the same way. Make a pin cushion
slightly smaller than pineapple. Lace ribbon through ch-4 sps,
inserting pin cushion, and tie into a bow at top.
