Materials
Required: AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "GEM" CROCHET COTTON, Article 35,
size 30. "STAR" CROCHET COTTON, Article 20 or 30, size 30 1 ball each
White and Yellow 3 artificial Leaves 3—6 inch strips of Wire Green
Crepe Paper Steel crochet hook No. 12
Chain (ch), single crochet (sc), double crochet (d c), stitch (st)
DAISY
With Yellow, ch 5, join to form a ring, ch 3 and work 17 dc in ring, join, cut thread.
PETAL
- With
White, ch 14, insert hook in any dc, pull loop through, ch 1, 1 sc in
next st of ch. 1 sdc in each of the next 3 sts, (sdc: thread over hook,
insert in st, pull loop through, thread over and work off all loops at
one time), 1 dc in each of the next 9 sts, 6 sdc in end st, working on
opposite side of ch, 1 dc in each of the next sts, 1 sdc in each of the
next 3 sts, 1 sc in next in same dc, cut thread.
- Work
a petal in each remaining Work 2 more daisies in same manner. Cover
each wire with ½ inch strip of Green crepe paper. Sew center back of
daisy to one end of wire. Tie together And attach leaves. Cover tied
section with crepe paper.
