Wedding Fashion Trends 2006 from Couture Designer Andy
Anand
"Today's
Wedding dresses have reached a new level of sophistication-brides
want dresses that are stylish, made of fine fabrics and
most importantly, can be worn again," as per Top
Couture Designer Andy Anand.
"The fabrics are simpler this season. There is just
not as much of a demand for lace," explains Andy
the designer Couture Designer bridal and Quinceanera
Dresses and bridesmaid
dresses and flowergirl
dresses (www.Shopshop.com).
The dresses may be straightforward, but attention is focused
on small details. One of the most popular is embroideries-and
these small touches are a perfect way for a snow-white
bride to add a bit of color.
"Delicate embroideries with a touch of pink are still
important, with lilac emerging as the next strong fashion
trend," according to Top Couture Designer Andy Anand.
As per Andy Anand "We have several of the bustier
styles that are coming in with their choice of embroidery
colors and they are really snapping them up."
Besides pastel trimmings, the designers at Shopshop.com
predict that metallic threads, both silver and gold, will
continue to add sparkle to weddings, especially on brides
with afternoon or evening ceremonies.
Some of the most popular embellishments for this season
include: sequins, pearls, bugle beads and crystals.
To coincide with the simple styles chosen by brides and
bridesmaids, the cut of choice is a classic A-line silhouette.
Elegant sheath dresses will also be in vogue. Other fabrics
selected by elegant brides this season will be matte stain,
organza, tulle and chiffon. The trendiest of Wedding
dresses tend to drape the body and seem to fall on
the woman's figure-a big change from the exaggerated full
gowns that once dominated church aisles.
When Andy, whose company is based in Milano, California,
was asked for his perspective on the bridal
dress of the moment, he immediately replied: "Corset,
corset, corset. Lace it up in the back if you can. They
are very waist minimizing. A lot of them look to be two
pieces and are actually one piece. And a lot of times
they're putting in the princess line in the corset in
the front and that is very figure flattering."
Brides are also choosing to look a little less conservative
this year. One of today's largest sellers is the strapless
gown-a sophisticated, elegant style that emits a hint
of sensuality.
Brides are not the only ones wishing to look a bit sexier
by going strapless; Bridesmaids are also picking up on
the trend. Choices in fabrics also are expanding. Tulle,
once the most popular of textiles, is now being replaced
by silk. Andy says girls are now choosing silk because
"they want something different and new."
Andy Anand trend setters are on preview at www.Shopshop.com,
ordering a prom dress or bridesmaid dresses online is a realistic option now,"
